Northern vision is proud to announce the launch of 4 ITF tournaments for men and woman to take place in Oslo, Norway from the 25th of October to 8th of November. The events is Title Sponsored by Collector and called the Collector Norwegian Open to be played in the refurbished Oslo Tennis Arena . These tournaments are considered as an important stepping stone for promising young players who want to turn pro and for established professionals who wants to gain WTRA and ATP ranking points. There is always an advantage to play at home.
“These tournaments will therefore make it easier for Norwegian players to achieve higher ratings so they can get wild cards into the qualifying and main draws where they face increasingly better ranked opponents” says Arne Sachs Knudssen from the Norwegian Tennis Association.
The British/Norwegian ´based company Northern Vision is organising these events in collaboration with the Norwegian Tennis Association. The title sponsor Collector has over the last six years also sponsored the very famous tennis Swedish Open in Bastad.
“We now have several very promising tennis talents such as Ulrikke Eikeri, Emma Flood and Melaine Stokke in addition to Viktor Durasovic ,Casper Ruud and Joacim Bjerke to mention few. We hope this autumn future tournaments can become an annual event and the first step towards getting Norwegian tennis on the International map” says Anders Borg in Northern Vision.
Northern Vision organises five other European tournaments, most famous of these is the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament has been held since 2002.
